Transactions
Transactions is the ledger of every buy, sell, and other entry in an account, from which your holdings, cash, and profit and loss are all calculated.
Everything else in a portfolio is derived. The holdings, the cash balance, the value, and the profit on each position are all worked out from the transactions: each purchase, each sale, each dividend, each deposit or withdrawal. This page is that underlying record. When a holding or a cash figure looks wrong, the cause is an entry here that is missing, duplicated, or has the wrong quantity, price, or date, and correcting it corrects everything downstream.
On an account you own, you can add and edit entries. A broker's transaction file can be loaded in bulk through Import rather than typed. On an account another member has shared with you the ledger is read-only. The cash side of these entries, and cash movements that are not trades, appear as a running balance in the cash book.
