Holdings
Holdings lists every position currently open in an account, with the quantity you hold and what it is worth at today's price, so you can see exactly what the account's value is made of.
A total value is only useful when you can break it down. Holdings shows you each instrument in the account, how many you hold, the current price, and the value in the account currency, so you can see which positions dominate the account, which have grown to a larger share of it than you intended, and which are driving today's move. Listed shares take their price from the live feed. A holding the feed does not cover uses a price you entered under Your prices; without one it cannot be valued.
Only open positions appear. A share you have sold entirely is closed and is no longer a holding, though its result is still in P&L. Holdings shows what you own and what it is worth; whether each position has made or lost money against its cost is the P&L page.
