Dashboard
The dashboard is your first look at the market each day: which shares are moving most, which are being talked about, and what members have just posted.
Once you have a watchlist there is a temptation to look only at it, and to miss a share that has moved sharply somewhere else. The dashboard is the answer to that. It puts the day's top movers for London and US shares beside the names that are trending among members, the most recent message-board threads, and the latest posts, so you see a share that has started to move or a story that has started to circulate before you would have thought to search for it.
The movers are ranked by percentage change against the previous close, so a penny share and a FTSE 100 stock are compared fairly. Trending names are the ones members are looking at and discussing most, which is a different signal: a share can trend on rumour before it moves at all. The posts and threads are members' own commentary on what is happening. Any name here takes you to its full quote, chart, and order book. Nothing on the dashboard is saved; a share you want to keep watching goes on a monitor.
