Market events
Market events plots sharp price moves and breaking headlines across a whole market as they happen, so you can watch the day's action unfold rather than search for it afterwards.
A toplist tells you which shares have moved most so far today. Market events shows you when they moved and what happened around each move. Every time the site detects a sharp move in a share, or a headline about it, that becomes a mark on a chart: time runs along the bottom, and the share's percentage change on the day runs up the side. A share that jumped at ten o'clock on a headline sits high on the chart at ten; one drifting down through the afternoon leaves a trail of marks sinking to the right.
You choose a market and a minimum move, so the small noise drops out and only moves above, say, five percent remain. Each mark opens the share's quote, two charts, and the recent news, so you can judge the move and its cause together. A share that keeps appearing but does not interest you can be ignored so it stops cluttering the picture. This is a view of price and news events; it is not an economic calendar and does not list market opening hours.
