Password reset
Password reset emails you a one-time link for choosing a password when you have forgotten it, or for setting the first password on an account created with Google or Apple.
Entering your account's email address here sends you a message with a link that works once and opens a page for setting a new password, without needing the old one. An account created with Google or Apple has no password until you set one from that link. The address has to be the one on the account. If you already have a password and you are signed in, Change password replaces it.
