# aNewFN

> aNewFN is a free website that gives you, as a private investor, the live prices, order books, charts, and news that used to be reserved for professional dealing desks, together with a place to keep an independent record of what you own.

aNewFN.com is a website run by aNewFN Limited, a UK company. It shows market data to private investors. It is not a broker and it does not give financial advice. The last trade on a symbol is not the current price. The current quote is the bid and the offer. Level 2 is the order book, not the list of trades.

**Is aNewFN free?** Yes. Share prices, Level 2, charts, watchlists, and portfolios cost nothing, and there is no subscription tier for market data. Live London prices need a free private-investor declaration, not a payment.

**Do I need an account?** Not to read the help, Clem Chambers' articles and videos, or members' posts. Quotes, Level 2, charts, watchlists, and portfolios need a free account, because the exchange's declaration and your saved lists are tied to it.

**Which markets does it cover?** London Stock Exchange shares, including FTSE and AIM, with Level 1 quotes and the Level 2 order book; US shares on the BATS feed with Level 1 only; the major forex pairs; and gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and bitcoin priced in US dollars.

**Are the prices real-time?** US shares, forex, metals, and bitcoin are live. London is delayed until you sign the free private-investor declaration on Feeds, and live after that.

**Is aNewFN a broker?** No. It does not take orders, hold shares or money, or give personal financial advice. You deal through your own broker and use aNewFN for the prices and for your own record of what you hold.

**Can I track my ISA or SIPP?** A portfolio is a record of any account, so an ISA, a SIPP, and a dealing account can each be a separate portfolio, in its own currency, reconciled to its own broker statement. The site does not calculate tax.
